Living on Edges
Life starts in zero and ends at abysmal gate, But, in between is bounded by lines of fate, Boldly etched on every head and soul; How I wish mine was a different, And I could then do all that I wanted, Carefree, not bound by any restrictions; How I wish you could stay forever with me, Together, without a care and terrifying fear, That you will be taken away sooner or later; Moment when you left, still visible in my eyes, Laughter filled eyes turning into ravaging floods, Once time revolted and truth of destiny took in; How I wish I could do much, beyond waving goodbye, Standing amidst a sea of gloom I bid you farewell, With life, I accepted the defeat, to let it go and forget; Life moves, and each single day I am living on edges Swearing a bet for every king’s silver and dime Dreaming in next life it’s much longer than this time!
